How Much to Charge for a Pilates Class: Pricing & Break-Even Calculator
Short answer: in the November 2026 reformer-group dataset, the median drop-in is $45 in the United States (n=19), CA$43 in Canada (n=17) and A$35 in Australia (n=17). The median 10-pack is $37.50, CA$40 and A$29 per class. Unlimited is $309.50 per month, CA$324.50 per month, and A$75 per week.
Those figures are a checkpoint from 64 studio pricing pages, not a price you have to copy. The pilates studio profit calculator below turns the costs you type into a cost per class, a break-even attendance, and a drop-in, 10-pack and unlimited ladder. Prices are local currency, as displayed, and the Australian unlimited median stays weekly.
There is no benchmark here for private classes, mat classes or profit margins. The dataset does not have those figures, so the calculator will not invent them.
Reformer benchmarks, November 2026
Medians use rows whose class type is exactly "reformer group" (58 of 64). The sample covers 15 metros. It is not a random sample. Club Pilates, solidcore and KX Pilates are not in it. Prices are as displayed. Canadian pages often exclude GST, HST or QST, and Australian prices normally include GST. "Unlimited" can mean a daily cap, a monthly cap, a lock-in, or a 28-day cycle. | Metric | United States | Canada | Australia |
|---|---|---|---|
| Median drop-in | $45 (n=19; $29–$50) | CA$43 (n=17; CA$30–CA$50) | A$35 (n=17; A$23–A$45) |
| Median 5-pack per class | $40 (n=12) | CA$39.50 (n=8) | A$33 (n=13) |
| Median 10-pack per class | $37.50 (n=15) | CA$40 (n=11) | A$29 (n=18) |
| Median 10-pack discount vs that studio's drop-in | 17.8% (n=14; 8.2% to 34.5%) | 10.8% (n=11; 5.6% to 37.1%) | 15.6% (n=17; 5.2% to 25.0%) |
| Median unlimited | $309.50/mo (n=14) | CA$324.50/mo (n=8) | A$75/wk (n=15) |
| Unlimited ÷ drop-in, same studio | 7.8× per month (n=11) | 8.7× per month (n=8) | 2.0× per week (n=13) |
Rounded to the nearest percent, the 10-pack discounts are 18%, 11% and 16%. The medians themselves are 17.8%, 10.8% and 15.6%. In this sample the booking page most often matched Mindbody (42%), then Momence (17%) and WellnessLiving (9%). That label was read from page code, not from a survey. Pilates studio profit calculator
Pick a country first. That chooses the currency, the benchmarks, and whether unlimited is monthly (United States and Canada) or weekly (Australia). The rent figure is an example so the result is not blank. It is not a median. Replace every cost with yours. Card rates are yours too. Published software rates are in the software cost calculator. Insurance cost is a line you type. What those policies cover is on Pilates insurance.

Private and mat class pricing
Private and mat class pricing have no median on this page. The November 2026 file does not record private prices, and the published medians are reformer group only. Type a private or mat price in the form if you want it on screen. Neither price changes the break-even math.
Formulas
- Classes per month = classes per week × 52/12.
- Monthly cost = fixed costs + instructor pay per class × classes per month. Owner pay is included only if you check that box. With base plus per person, pay per class = base + per person × the attendance you entered.
- Cost per class = monthly cost ÷ classes per month.
- Price per visit is the drop-in, the pack price ÷ 5 or 10, or the unlimited price ÷ the visits you assumed. Intro is the intro price per visit. Tax-inclusive prices are divided by 1 + the tax rate first.
- Net revenue per visit = price per visit × (1 − card fee) − fixed fee. The fixed fee is counted once per visit. A membership charge is counted once per billing cycle instead.
- Blended revenue per visit = each product's share of visits × its net price. Shares that do not add to 100% are scaled.
- Break-even attendance = cost per class ÷ blended revenue per visit, rounded up. With per-person pay, attendance is the number that covers fixed costs, base pay and the per-person pay.
- Break-even visits per month = monthly cost ÷ blended revenue per visit.
- Unlimited members to cover the rest = (monthly cost − drop-in, pack and intro revenue at your attendance) ÷ net receipt per member, rounded up. For Australia the weekly price is multiplied by 52/12 inside that count only. That product is not shown as a monthly membership price.
- Minimum price per visit = (cost per class ÷ (attendance × (1 − target margin)) + fixed fee) ÷ (1 − card fee). Tax is put back on if your prices include it. A dollar profit target uses monthly cost plus that profit, instead of the margin step.
- Suggested drop-in = minimum price × (1 + premium). Suggested 10-pack per class = suggested drop-in × (1 − discount). Suggested unlimited = suggested drop-in × the multiple. In Australia that multiple is per week.
- Visits where unlimited costs the same as 10-packs = unlimited price ÷ (10-pack price ÷ 10).
Choosing equipment is a different job from setting class prices. Commercial reformer systems are listed on hesurepilates.com, which is run by the same operator as this site. That link is disclosed on the About page.
How we compiled this
The benchmark figures on this page come from the reformer class-price dataset on this site: 64 studio pricing pages, checked on 3 November 2026. Costs, attendance and the prices you are testing are numbers you enter. They are not medians.
We have not run hands-on tests of these studios, so this is a calculator based on your inputs and that public dataset, not a lab test.
Prices change, so check the studio page before you treat a benchmark as the price to charge.
Some links are affiliate links, and that does not change what we write.

FAQ
How much should I charge for a Pilates class?
In the November 2026 reformer-group sample, the median drop-in is $45 in the United States (n=19), CA$43 in Canada (n=17) and A$35 in Australia (n=17). The median 10-pack is $37.50, CA$40 and A$29 per class. Use those as a checkpoint. The price you charge should come from your costs, the margin you want, and the card fee you actually pay.
How many clients does a Pilates studio need to break even?
Break-even attendance is the cost of one class divided by the blended revenue you keep per visit, rounded up. Monthly cost is your fixed costs plus instructor pay times classes per month, and classes per month are classes per week times 52/12. This dataset has no count of how many members a studio needs.
What is a typical Pilates studio profit margin?
This dataset has no profit-margin figures, so the calculator does not show an industry margin. The margin it reports is your revenue after card fees minus the costs you type, divided by that revenue. Set your own target. Green means you met that target.
How much should I charge for a private Pilates class?
The November 2026 dataset does not include private-class prices, so there is no private benchmark. You can type a private price to keep it in view. It is not part of the visit mix and it is not compared with the reformer medians.
How much should I charge for a mat Pilates class?
The medians on this page are reformer group classes only. A few notes in the source file mention mat prices, and there are not enough of them to publish a mat median. A mat price you type is not compared with a benchmark.
How should I price an unlimited Pilates membership?
Where a studio published an unlimited price, the median is $309.50 per month in the United States (n=14), CA$324.50 per month in Canada (n=8) and A$75 per week in Australia (n=15). The Australian figure stays weekly. The calculator also shows how many visits it takes before your unlimited price costs the same as buying 10-packs.
